Collection notice

This notice is provided under Australian Privacy Principle 5. PLAYWEST PTY LTD (trading as playwestbets) collects the personal information requested on this form — including your name, date of birth, residential address, contact details and the identity documents used at verification — to open and operate your account, to verify your identity and age, and to meet our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth) and our licence conditions.

If you do not provide this information we cannot open your account or accept any wager. Your information may be disclosed to identity-verification providers, payment processors, regulators (including AUSTRAC, the VGCCC and ACMA) and to the National Self-Exclusion Register (BetStop). Sign-up details are checked against the National Self-Exclusion Register (BetStop). An account cannot be opened for a person registered with BetStop.

1 Identity details
2 Document verification

Account opening requires one primary photographic identity document and one secondary document. Verification is completed inside your account after opening, under the AML/CTF Act 2006 (Cth). No wager is accepted until verification is complete.

Your age is confirmed from these identity documents — not from a checkbox or self-declaration. An account is not activated for wagering until documentary proof that you are at least 18 has been verified.

playwestbets provides deposit-limit tools so customers can set, lower, increase or remove a limit on how much they can deposit over a selected period. The offer of a deposit limit is presented during account opening in accordance with the National Consumer Protection Framework. You can change it at any time. Decreases take effect immediately. Increases — and removal of a deposit limit, which is treated as an increase — observe a seven-day cool-off, after which you are asked to re-confirm the new figure before it applies. If you choose not to set a limit now, you will be prompted to review that decision at least every 12 months.
